Beauty Sensations

Spencer Plaza is one of the oldest malls in Chennai, and we are tucked away in Phase 1 on the first floor. Our shop number is F 26. It’s a bit of a walk to get to us from the main Anna Salai entrance. We are right across from the D1 Police Station, so that helps people find the right part of the building. The mall isn't as busy as it used to be years ago, but we still have our regulars. The shop is small and has a lot of mirrors. It’s not a very modern place, but it’s comfortable for the people who come here. We see a mix of shopkeepers from the mall and people who are just passing through Mount Road. The lighting in our section of the plaza is sometimes a bit dim, so we have extra lights inside. It’s a quiet place during the weekday mornings, which gives us time to clean up and organize the bottles and tools. On weekends, it picks up a bit. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on being in a well-known spot. The work is steady and we’ve been doing this for a long time. It’s nice being part of such a historic building like Spencer Plaza. Even with all the new malls opening up, there’s something about this place that feels right for us. We just keep things moving every day.
