Babu Beauty Parlour

Babu Beauty Parlour is located at No: 27 on West Cemetry Road. It is in the Washermanpet area, which most locals call Oldwashermanpet. It’s a part of Chennai that always feels alive and a bit noisy with all the traffic. Our shop is just a simple place on the street. We have been here for a good amount of time, serving the people who live nearby. The chairs are old but comfortable enough for a haircut or whatever else someone needs. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working through the day. In the mornings, we sweep the floor and get the water ready. The neighborhood has changed a lot, but this street stays pretty much the same. Most of our customers come from the houses right around here. They walk over when they have some free time. It's not a fancy salon with bright lights and music, just a normal parlor where you can get your work done and go home. We talk to the regulars about the weather or the local news. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out with the door open to let the breeze in. It gets busy during festival times, and the shop feels a lot smaller then. We just keep doing what we do every day. It’s a steady job in a busy part of town. There is always a lot of laundry being done nearby, hence the name of the area.
