Ashmi Beauty Parlour

Ashmi Beauty Parlour is located in Pudupet. The address is No 36/63 on Thulasingam 3rd Street. We are right opposite to Anand Clinic. If you are in the Pudupet area, you probably know how crowded these streets can be at any time of day. It’s a very old part of Chennai. I’ve been running this parlor for a while now. It’s a small space, but we make it work and keep it clean. Most of the people who come in are from the nearby streets. They know me by name and we chat a lot. I do the usual stuff like haircuts, styling, and some basic skin work for weddings. Nothing too complicated or fancy. I don't like those parlors that look like hospitals or big offices. Mine feels more like a home for everyone. I have some plants outside and a small wooden bench for people to wait. Being near Anand Clinic is helpful because people often wait there and then decide to come over to us. The 3rd street is a bit narrow, so parking can be a bit of a headache, but people manage to find a spot. I usually stay open until about 8 in the evening. Chennai heat is something else, so the fan is always on full blast inside. I use products that I trust and have used for years myself. I don’t change things up just for the sake of it. It’s a steady business and I like the routine. Seeing the same faces every month makes it feel good.
