About Vivek Sud Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
My architecture practice is run out of House No-1017 in Phase-7. It’s a straightforward setup where the focus stays on the projects at hand. As Vivek Sud Architect, I’ve worked on a variety of buildings over the years, mostly around this area. The office isn't a corporate suite; it’s a functional space where most of the day is spent at the drafting table or on the computer. Phase-7 is a good base because clients can find me easily and getting out to project sites is quick. Solving problems is what the work is about, like how to fit a kitchen into a tight corner or making a stairwell safer. Sturdy things that make sense for the people using them are what I usually go for. Much of the time is spent talking to laborers to ensure they understand the plans. Coordination takes effort and sometimes it gets stressful when materials are late or the weather doesn't cooperate. That is just the nature of construction. Most people find me through word of mouth, which is how I prefer to work. Living and working in this region for a long time means I know the local climate and which materials hold up best. It’s just me doing my job and trying to help people build things that last. A big staff isn't necessary to do good work, just a clear set of drawings and a bit of patience. It works for me.
