Lalit kumar Chadha Architect

I’ve been working out of my place at House Number 3007 in Sector 35 D for quite some time. It’s basically a home office setup, which makes things a bit more relaxed. Lalit kumar Chadha Architect is the name on the door, but most people just call me Lalit. The room is packed with books and old files from projects I did years ago. Sector 35 D is a decent area, fairly quiet, which is nice when you’re trying to calculate measurements. My desk is right by the window so I can see who’s coming and going. Often, clients just stop by for a chat about their house plans and we end up talking about the neighborhood for half an hour. I don’t have a big staff, so I do most of the drawing and site visits myself. It gets tiring sometimes, especially when the weather is bad, but I prefer being involved in everything. The walls are covered in sketches and some framed photos of finished buildings. It’s not a corporate office by any means. There’s usually a pot of tea going and some papers scattered across the floor. I like the independence of working this way. You get to know the people you’re building for on a personal level. People in the sector know the house, so it’s easy to find. I just take things one project at a time and try to get the details right without any fuss. It is just a normal local business.
