About Ashutosh Handa Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
The office is at 1283, Sector-21-B, which is a fairly quiet part of the area compared to the main roads. Ashutosh Handa Architect has been operating out of this space for quite some time now. If you walk in, you’ll likely see a lot of clutter on the main desk because there are always three or four different things going on at once. It’s not the kind of place that looks like a magazine cover; it’s a working office with real messes. We have shelves full of old binders and a few architectural models gathering dust on the top ledge. Usually, the day involves a lot of phone calls to contractors and trying to find where a specific file went. The lighting in the back room is a bit dim, so we mostly stay up front near the window where the sun comes in. We do a lot of residential stuff, so there’s always talk about square footage and where the plumbing is supposed to go. Sometimes clients bring their kids along, and they end up drawing on the back of scrap paper while we talk about floor plans. It gets a bit hectic around noon, but it settles down toward the evening hours. We don’t really do fancy presentations with lights and music. It’s mostly just showing people drawings and explaining why a certain wall simply cannot be moved. The commute is okay, though parking can be a headache.
