About Mamta Sharma Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I work out of House Number 2167 in Sector 14 C. It’s a quiet spot, which is exactly what I need for the kind of work I do. My office is just a converted room in the house, filled with drafting tools, a big computer, and stacks of folders. Being Mamta Sharma Architect means I handle everything myself, from the first sketch to the final check-on-site. Sector 14 C is a good neighborhood, and I’ve lived and worked here for quite some time now. Most of my clients are local people who’ve heard about me through someone else. I don't really have a polished reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find me at my desk with a cup of cold tea I forgot to drink. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make small spaces work better. It’s not always easy, but it’s interesting. The room is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints and reference books everywhere. I like the personal touch of working from home. It means I can start early or work late if a project needs it. I don’t have a big team or a fancy title. I just draw up plans and try to make sure they are practical and buildable. It’s a steady way to work and I enjoy the process of seeing something go from a drawing on my desk to a real building down the street in the sector.
