Jaswinder Singh Architect

Working out of H.No. 3446 in Sector 27D, I’ve kept things pretty simple for Jaswinder Singh Architect. It’s a straightforward setup where the focus is entirely on the drawings. I don’t have a team of secretaries or a glass-walled office. It’s just a room with a good drafting table and enough light to see what I’m doing. Most of my day is spent hunched over blueprints or talking to clients about how they want their new space to feel. I’ve lived around here long enough to know what the local authorities expect and how the weather affects the buildings in this part of town. People usually find me by word of mouth, and they come in for a chat about a kitchen extension or a full new build. I don’t use a lot of technical jargon if I can help it. I’d rather just show you a sketch and explain why a wall needs to be where it is. There’s a lot of paper involved, and my files are probably a bit more disorganized than a big firm would like, but I know where everything is. Architecture is a lot of problem-solving, really. You have a certain amount of space and a certain budget, and you have to make them work together. It’s what I’ve been doing for years now, just one house at a time, making sure things are done right. It's a quiet life but the work is rewarding in its own way.
