Kalpana Mobiles & Gifts is situated in the New Cloth Market near the nai Sham Ki Sabji Mandi. This area is always buzzing with people looking for clothes or food, so we get a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. Our shop is a mix of technology and colorful stuff. On one side, we have mobile phones and all the chargers and cables that people are always losing or breaking. On the other side, we keep gift items like photo frames, soft toys, and little knick-knacks. It is a bit of a strange mix, but people around here seem to like it. When someone buys a gift, we spend time wrapping it up with bright paper and plenty of tape, which can be tricky when the shop is full of customers. The mobile side of the business is more about explaining features or helping someone put a screen guard on without getting tiny bubbles under it. It is a small space, so we have to use every inch of the walls for display. The fans are always spinning to keep the electronics from getting too hot in the afternoon. Working in the New Cloth Market means there is never a dull moment. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting and the motorcycles passing by all day long. We have been here long enough that the other shopkeepers feel like family. It is not a fancy corporate showroom, just a busy little shop.
