Kirti Mobile Shop is in Bapu Nagar, specifically in Sec-F. This part of town is mostly residential, so it’s quieter than the main markets. I fix mobile phones and sell accessories like chargers and batteries. My shop is small and simple. I have a workbench in the back with a lot of tools and a bright lamp. It’s where I spend most of my time, squinting at circuit boards. I’ve lived in Bapu Nagar for a long time, so I know my neighbors well. They bring their broken phones to me because they trust me. I don’t have a fancy store with glass walls. It’s just a regular room with a counter. The walls are a pale yellow. I have a small radio that plays music while I work. Sometimes the kids from Sec-F come in to look at the new phone covers. They like the ones with bright colors. I try to keep the place tidy, but there are always bits of wire and old phone parts lying around. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how a repair shop should look. I open the shop after I have my morning tea. I usually stay open until late in the evening because that’s when people get home from work and need their phones fixed. It’s a good life and I enjoy helping people get their gadgets working again.
