Diamond Mobile

If you find yourself in Azad Nagar, specifically around Indira Market at shop number 79, that’s where you’ll see Diamond Mobile. It’s a busy market area, lots of noise and people carrying bags. Our shop is tucked in there among the cloth stores and vegetable sellers. It’s a tight fit. We have shelves all the way to the ceiling to hold all the boxes of phone cases and screen protectors. It feels a bit like a cave sometimes, but it’s cool in the summer. We’ve been in Indira Market for a few years. People come to us when they need a new tempered glass or if their phone isn’t picking up the signal. I spend a lot of time with a magnifying glass looking at small parts. My eyes get tired by the end of the day, but that’s the job. We don’t have a big fancy sign, just the name above the door. Most of our business comes from people walking through the market. They see the phones in the window and stop in. We keep a small radio playing in the corner to keep us company. Sometimes we trade stories with the other shopkeepers during lunch. It’s a friendly enough place. We don’t promise anything impossible, we just try to fix what’s broken. Life in the market is fast, but inside the shop, we try to take our time to do things right. It is just a small business in a big market.
