Friends Mobile Repairing is on Manak Nagar Dak Bungalow Road. We are in Rajaji Ka Karera in Maandal. My friend and I opened this place because we liked messing with electronics. It's a small room with a heavy metal shutter. Inside, it's mostly just workbenches and a few chairs for people to wait. The road outside is usually full of dust and people walking to the market. We have a lot of tools scattered around, like soldering irons and magnifying glasses. Most days, I am busy trying to fix screens that people cracked. It’s tedious work and the screws are so small they sometimes vanish on the floor. We don't have a fancy sign or anything. Just the name painted on the wall. People in Maandal know where we are. We drink a lot of chai from the stall down the street. It gets really hot in the summer and the small fan we have just moves the hot air around. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use flashlights to finish a job. It's not a big corporate office, just a local spot where we try to get phones working again. We listen to the local news on a small radio while we work. It keeps us company during the long afternoons when the street gets quiet. I walk to the shop every morning and usually open the shutters around nine. Some days are slow, but that’s okay.
