Friends Mobile

Friends Mobile is situated right at the Bapu Nagar Nakoda Choraha. Being at a crossroads means there is never a dull moment because there are always people waiting for the lights to change or crossing the street. We get a lot of dust from the road because of the constant traffic at the choraha, so we spend a lot of time with a cloth in our hands wiping down the display cases. The shop name is simple because we want people to feel comfortable when they come in. We have some plastic chairs outside for people to sit and chat. Inside, it is just the basic stuff you would expect for mobile phones. The Bapu Nagar area has changed a lot since we started, with more shops opening up, but we are still here in our same spot. It gets very loud in the evenings with the horns and the people going home from work. Sometimes we just sit on the steps and watch the world go by when things are slow. We do not have any fancy decorations, just some posters of old phone models on the wall. The counter is made of wood and is getting a bit smooth on the edges where people lean on it. It is just a local spot for local people at a busy intersection. We stay open until late so people can stop by after they finish their dinner or their work shift.
