White N Red Petals

We are based at 1475 in Jayanagar. It’s a nice part of the city to be in, with all the trees and the residential blocks. White N Red Petals isn't a big chain or anything like that. We are just a standalone shop where we try to keep things simple. Every morning we check the stock that comes in and see what looks the best. Sometimes the lilies are great, other times the carnations are the stars. We don't have a polished way of doing things. We just use our hands and a pair of old shears to get everything ready for the day. The shop has a bit of a lived-in feel, which we think is better than those cold, modern places. We spend quite a bit of time talking to the locals who walk their dogs past our door. Jayanagar is the kind of place where people take their time, and we try to match that pace. We don't push people to buy things. We just let them look around and pick what they like. Most of our day is spent at the back table, trimming leaves and making sure everything has enough water. It’s steady work and it keeps us out of trouble. We don't have a big grand vision, just the goal of staying open and providing flowers to the neighborhood. It’s a decent way to spend the day and we like being here. The hours pass by pretty quickly when we're busy.
