Sangam Flowers

Sangam Flowers sits right across from the Canara Bank in the Sakinaka area of Mathikere. It is a busy little corner of the world. The traffic outside never seems to stop, and there is always a line of cars or bikes waiting at the junction. Our shop is at number 41489, which sounds like a big number but the space itself is actually quite modest. We have been here long enough that most of the bank staff and the local shopkeepers recognize us. The workday starts with the arrival of the crates from the market. We have to move quickly to get everything processed before the sun gets too high. It is a lot of repetitive work, like stripping thorns off roses and checking the water levels in every single vase. We use an old wooden table for all the prep work, and it has become quite worn over the years. Customers usually come in after they finish their business at the bank. They might want a single flower or a large bunch for an event. We do not do anything too complicated or modern. Most people just want something that looks nice and smells fresh. The shop can get a bit crowded when three or four people are inside at once. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to drown out the honking from the street. It is just a regular local business where we focus on the daily tasks.
