Ashirvad Florist

Ashirvad Florist is situated at number 13 on Hosur Main Road, very close to Christ College. Being so near a major college means we see a lot of students coming in and out. The traffic on Hosur Road is famous for being heavy, and we definitely feel that energy inside the shop. There is always a layer of dust that tries to settle on everything, so we are constantly wiping down the counters and the leaves of our plants. It is a small shop, but we make use of every inch of space. We have buckets stacked high and garlands hanging from hooks on the walls. The morning routine is always the same. We unload the flowers, trim the ends, and arrange them by color. It is a lot of standing on your feet all day, which can be tiring. The noise from the buses and cars outside is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We do not have any elaborate displays. People usually just point at what they want and we wrap it up for them in some old newspaper or plain plastic. It is a practical place for people who need flowers without any fuss. Sometimes the students buy just a single rose, and other times we are preparing large orders for college functions. We just take it one customer at a time and try to keep the flowers looking decent despite the heat.
