Sri Balaji Flora

You’ll find us at number 8 in Cottonpet. It’s a busy part of town, and our shop is right in the middle of all the noise and people. Sri Balaji Flora isn't a fancy boutique with air conditioning or designer displays. It’s a place filled with buckets of water and piles of flowers. Every morning starts very early for us, long before most people are awake, getting the fresh stock in. The floor is usually wet and there are stems and leaves everywhere. We don’t have a professional photographer or a marketing plan. We just sell flowers to the people who walk by or the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It’s a bit chaotic at times, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is in a rush. We just do our best to keep up with the demand. The smell of jasmine and roses is always there, which is nice, but it’s also hard work with a lot of standing around. We’ve been in Cottonpet for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. It’s a tight-knit community. We aren't trying to be the most famous flower shop in the city, just a reliable one where you can get what you need. It’s a simple life, focused on the seasons and the daily rhythm of the market. People know where we are, and that is enough for us.
