About Vijaya Flower Stall – Event & Planning in Bengaluru
If you ever find yourself at the B K R Market in Kalasipalyam, you’ll probably see us at stall 243. It’s a noisy place, especially around five in the morning when the trucks start rolling in. We spend those early hours untying bundles and sorting through whatever came in that day. My father used to say the market never sleeps, and he was right. There’s always someone shouting or a cart rattling past on the stone floor. It’s crowded and the floor is usually wet from the water we spray on the roses and jasmine to keep them fresh. We sit on small wooden stools most of the day. The smell is the best part of the whole job, even when everything else is a bit chaotic and loud. Customers come in looking for stuff for weddings or just a small string of flowers for their home shrine. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Just the flowers piled up on the counter. Sometimes we share a coffee with the guy at the next stall when things quiet down around ten. By the afternoon, we’re mostly just tidying up and waiting for the evening rush of people heading home from work. It's a simple life, really. Just flowers, strings, and a lot of talking to people who pass by. It’s been this way for years and we don’t see much reason to change it now. We just stay here and keep the stall running.
