The Script Peoples Theatre

Started doing things here at BTM Layout 2nd Stage a while back. We are over at Anugraha on 9th Main in Mico Layout, tucked away at number 866. It is mostly just about putting on plays and working with scripts. People come in, we rehearse, and things get messy sometimes, but that is how theater works. It isn't a big fancy auditorium, just a space where the work happens. We spend a lot of time reading through pages and trying to figure out how to make a scene feel right. Most of us live nearby or travel across town because we just like being part of a production. The neighborhood knows us by now. Sometimes the lights are on late because a show is coming up. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people just find out about The Script Peoples Theatre by walking past or hearing from a friend who was in a workshop here. It is a bit crowded with props and costumes usually. We try to keep things organized at 866, but when you have scripts flying around and actors moving, it gets busy. It’s just what we do here in BTM. We like the local feel of being on 9th Main. No one is trying to be a superstar, we just want the play to go well. Sometimes the tea runs out during breaks, and someone has to run out. That's the life here.
