Srinivasa Theatre

If you head down to Sudguntpalya, specifically 1st Main 8th Cross, you will find our building. It has been standing there at number 1 for quite some time now. Being a theatre in S G Playa means we see a lot of different people. It is not like those new multiplexes with the fancy carpets and expensive popcorn. Our seats are old, and the floor is concrete. We show movies that people in the area want to see, usually the big local hits. The projection room is cramped, and it gets really hot up there during the summer. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the shows. People leave all sorts of things behind, mostly empty bottles and food wrappers. The lobby is small, and when a big movie is playing, it gets very crowded and loud. We have a small counter where we sell snacks, but it's nothing too elaborate. Sometimes the sound system needs a little kick to get it going properly, but we make it work. It is a tough business with everyone watching movies on their phones these days, but we still get a decent crowd for the night shows. We are just a local spot where you can catch a film without spending too much money. It is a bit rough around the edges, but it’s our place. We just try to keep the projector running.
