Star Flower

We are located at 1814/1 in Jayanagar 9th Block. It’s a small shop, squeezed in between a bakery and a stationery store. Jayanagar is a great place to be because there are always people walking around, especially in the evenings. We focus on daily flowers, the kind people buy for their homes or to take to the temple nearby. We don't go for the really expensive, imported flowers much. We mostly stick to what grows locally like jasmine, lilies, and marigolds because they stay fresh longer in this weather. The shop is just one room with a few shelves and a big table in the middle where we work. I’ve been here since I was a teenager, learning how to tie the knots just right. It’s a skill that takes time, and my hands show it. We have a few regular customers who have been coming to us since the day we opened. They don't even have to tell us what they want; we just have it ready when we see them coming down the street. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons since we don't have air conditioning, but we keep the fans going and spray the floor with water to keep things cool. We aren't a big corporation, just a few people working hard to make a living. It’s a simple business, and we like keeping it that way. We usually close up around eight and head home to get rest.
