Sri Bangalore Florist. Located at 169 Khira Nagar. I remember when we first opened the shutters here. Ramagondana Halli was a bit different back then. Now there are more cars and people always in a rush. We get the flowers delivered early in the morning when it's still dark out. Usually, the truck driver wakes me up with a loud knock. Then we spend a couple of hours just trimming stems and getting things ready. It’s a lot of manual work that people don’t really see. My hands are usually stained green or brown by noon. It's not a clean job, honestly. There's water on the floor and scraps of leaves everywhere. We just try to keep things moving. Neighbors stop by to chat more than they buy sometimes. That's just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have a big fancy storefront with lights. Just a simple space with some buckets and a table. Most days I’m just sitting on the stool waiting for the next person to walk in. We deal with whatever comes our way. Some days the marigolds look better than others. Weather changes everything in this business. If it’s too hot, things wilt. If it rains too much, the deliveries are late. We just deal with it and stay open until the evening. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. It is just a regular shop for the folks living around here.
