You will find us at number 8, right near the police station in Cottonpet. The address says IIT Powai as well, which can be a bit confusing for some, but we are right here in the thick of things. Sri Balaji Florist is a small operation. We don't have a team of experts, just a few of us who know how to handle flowers. The area is quite busy and the police station nearby means there is always something going on outside our door. We spend a lot of time just keeping the shop tidy, though it’s hard with all the dust from the street. Our day usually starts with the sound of shutters opening all along the row. We get our stock in, check what’s still good from yesterday, and start setting things up. It’s not a glamorous job. Your hands get stained and sometimes you get a prick from a hidden thorn. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most people find us because they are walking by or they’ve been coming here for years. We keep it honest and just tell people what will last and what won't. It’s a practical way to run a business. We like the rhythm of Cottonpet. It’s an old-school kind of place and we fit right in with the other shops. Just a simple florist doing what needs to be done, day in and day out, without any fuss or bother.
