You can find us over at 1293 on the 30th Main in Banashankari 2nd Stage. We are right on the corner of 24th Cross. It’s a quiet residential part of the city, so most of the people who come in are our neighbors who live nearby. We’ve known some of them for years. The shop is just a small space filled with buckets of whatever is in season right now. We don't keep a huge stock because we like to make sure everything moves quickly and stays fresh. Every morning involves a trip to the main market to pick out the bunches that look okay, and then it's back here to start the cleaning and prepping. My hands are usually a bit scratched up from the roses, but you get used to it after a while. We have a small bench outside where we sit when the shop isn't crowded. Sometimes people just stop by to say hello while they are walking their dogs or going to the park down the road. We don't use any fancy computers or systems; we just write things down in a notebook. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I suppose, but it works for us. The sunlight comes in quite strong in the afternoons, so we have to move the more delicate flowers into the shade. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even if the work is repetitive. We just keep doing what we do, making sure the neighborhood has fresh flowers whenever they need them.
