Simply Elegant

Simply Elegant is tucked away at G 5 Blue Cross Chamber on GIDC Road, right by 7 Infantry Road. It’s a decent spot, though maybe a little hard to find if you aren’t looking for the building specifically. We spend our days surrounded by greenery and the sound of the ceiling fan humming in the corner. Most of our time is taken up by cleaning the glass vases and making sure the water stays fresh. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or big goals, we just want to get through the day’s work and make sure the flowers stay healthy. The back room is where we keep the extra stock and it’s usually a bit of a mess with empty boxes and discarded stems. We try to keep the front looking okay for whoever walks in from Infantry Road. It gets a bit cold in the mornings during the rainy season, which the flowers seem to like even if we don’t. We use basic tools and a lot of patience to get things looking right. Working in a place like Blue Cross Chamber means we see a lot of office workers coming and going. It’s a different vibe than a street-side stall, a bit more contained but still plenty of work to do. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand, like trimming roses or tying up bundles of jasmine for the day. Most people who find us usually come back because they like the quiet atmosphere here.
