Sai Flowers & Petals

Started this shop in Marathahalli quite a while back now. We are tucked away near the Coconut Guru Restaurant building, so if you know the Spice Garden area, you probably passed us. Maan Darwaja is always busy. Honestly, some days are a bit of a mess with all the traffic and the dust coming off the road. I usually get here pretty early before the sun gets too hot. My hands are always stained from the stems and sap. We just keep things simple. There’s a lot of flowers coming in every morning from the market. Some are great, some are just okay, and we do our work to sort them out. It isn't a fancy place with air conditioning. We just have buckets and some counter space. Usually, people stop by while they're out getting food or heading home from work. Sometimes we’re out of specific things because the delivery was late. That’s just how it goes here. I try to keep the water fresh in the buckets so the roses don’t droop too fast in the heat. It gets loud with the cars outside, but you get used to it. Mostly, we just tie up bunches for whoever walks in. It’s a small life, but I like the smell of the shop in the morning before everything gets hectic. We don’t have much room for storage, so what you see is what we have right there on the floor.
