We are located at A/7 Rajajinagar, which is a quiet enough corner compared to the main market areas. The shop has been here for a bit and it’s become part of our daily routine to open up early and sweep the front step. We deal with all sorts of flowers, mostly whatever is in season and looks good at the market that morning. It’s not a very big space, so we have to be careful about how we stack the crates so we don't trip over them. Our tools are just basic scissors and some twine we keep on a hook behind the door. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything, just a small desk where we keep our notes and some spare change. Sometimes the smell of the lilies gets really strong in the afternoon sun, which is nice if you like that sort of thing. We spend a lot of time picking off dead leaves and making sure the water in the vases is clear. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our feet all day long. Rajajinagar is a nice place to be, and we see the same faces walking their dogs or going to the bank every day. We don't do much advertising; people just see our sign and come in if they need something. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road work nearby, but we manage. We just focus on keeping the stock fresh for the neighborhood folks.
