S L V Flowers is located right at 45, just across from the Cprc Sub Station in Sanjay Nagar. It’s a pretty easy landmark to spot if you’re looking for us on that road. We’ve been in this spot for some time now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street. Every morning starts the same way with the trucks bringing in the daily load of fresh blooms. We spend a lot of time cleaning up thorns and keeping the water buckets full. It’s not the cleanest job, and our aprons are usually soaked by noon, but it’s what we do. The shop is small and can get a bit crowded with all the garlands hanging up from the ceiling. We don’t have a fancy website or anything; we just talk to the people who walk in off the street. Sanjay Nagar is a nice area, and we have regular customers who come by just to see what’s fresh that day. Sometimes the power station across the way gets a bit noisy with the hum, but we don't really mind it much anymore. We just keep trimming the stems and making sure everything looks okay. It’s a lot of manual work, standing on our feet for hours at a time. We don’t really think of it as anything special, just a way to make a living and help people with their celebrations. If you need something for a temple or a house, we’re usually here from early morning. Just a simple flower shop run by local people.
