Rosary Farm Florists

We are located in the St Patricks Complex on Residency Road. It’s an old building, and we’ve been here for quite some time. Being near Imperial Hospital means we see a lot of people coming in who are in a bit of a hurry or feeling a bit worried. They usually want something bright to take to the rooms upstairs. I spend a lot of my time just standing at the back, cutting thorns off roses. My fingers have plenty of little scars from that. It’s a small shop and it can get a bit dark inside since the complex is old. I try to keep the lights on bright so you can see the colors of the petals properly. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the Residency Road traffic, which makes me a bit grumpy because the customers are waiting. We have a few buckets lined up against the wall. Nothing is arranged like a museum; it’s just flowers in water. I do my own wrapping with whatever paper we have in stock at the moment. On rainy days, the floor gets a bit slippery from people walking in with wet shoes. I keep a mop handy, but I don’t always get to it in time. It’s just me and the flowers most of the day. It’s quiet in the afternoons when the sun is high, and that’s when I do most of my cleaning.
