Queen Florist

Queen Florist is situated at 45 on 8th Main, near 15th Cross in Malleswaram West. We are quite close to MES College, so we see a lot of students passing by every day. Malleswaram is an old part of the city, and it has a very specific feel to it. Our shop fits right into that. We aren't a big corporate chain; we are just a local spot where you can get some flowers. The mornings are usually spent sorting through marigolds, jasmine, and roses. The smell in the shop is quite strong, especially when the fresh jasmine arrives. We have a small table where we sit and tie the flowers together. Our hands are usually stained with plant sap by the end of the day. The shop doesn't have any modern decor, just some old shelves and basic lighting. We like it that way because it feels real. During the college festival times, it gets really busy with students coming in for various things. We have a lot of older residents from the neighborhood who have been coming to us for years. We don't do anything flashy. We just open up, set out the buckets on the pavement, and wait for the day to start. It is a simple life and we just focus on the flowers and the people who walk through the door.
