Petals Florists

Petals Florists is situated at 17/3 Vishal Complex. We are right opposite the Frank Anthony Public School on Cambridge Main Road in Ulsoor. Being across from a school means we see a lot of activity, especially when the bells go off and parents are picking up their kids. The shop is inside the complex, so it stays a bit cooler than being right out on the sidewalk. It’s a modest space. We have a few racks for the flowers and a heavy wooden table where all the cutting happens. The floor is usually wet because we’re constantly topping off the vases. Cambridge Main Road is always humming with traffic, so the sound of engines is pretty much the background music here. I spend a lot of time sorting through the daily delivery to see what survived the trip. Some flowers are more delicate than others, and the heat in Ulsoor can be tough on them. We don’t use a lot of fancy wrapping paper, usually just what’s practical for someone to carry home without it dripping. It's a regular job for us. We arrive, we clean the space, we set out the buckets, and we wait for whoever comes by. It’s honest work, even if it’s a bit tiring on the feet. The Vishal Complex has been our home for a while, and we’ve gotten to know the regulars pretty well.
