Mahalakshmi Flower Land

You can find Mahalakshmi Flower Land on the 2nd floor of a building at 70, 5th Main in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. We are very close to Kanthi Sweets, which is a big landmark around here. Being on the second floor is a bit different for a flower shop, but we make it work. We have to carry all the heavy crates up the stairs every single morning. It is a good workout, even if it is tiring. The shop has a good view of the street below, so we can see when the traffic starts building up in RT Nagar. We keep our stock spread out across the floor to keep things organized. It is not a very big space, so it gets crowded quickly when we have a lot of flowers. We mostly deal with the locals who know we are up here. We spend a lot of time prepping the greens and the fillers that go into the bouquets. It is a bit of a messy process with stems everywhere. We don't use any fancy software or anything; we just write things down in a notebook. The 5th Main road is usually buzzing with people going to the shops nearby. We just keep our head down and focus on getting the orders ready for whoever comes up the stairs. It is honest work and it keeps us busy.
