K M Flowers

We’re over at 15 Rudreshwara Chambers in the HIG A sector of Yelahanka New Town. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you’re in the area, it’s not too hard to find us. K M Flowers is just a small operation. We’ve got a few of us here working with the local flowers that come in every day. The shop stays pretty cool because of the water we keep everywhere to keep things from wilting. We spend most of the day tying strings and making sure the garlands are even and full. Yelahanka New Town has changed a lot since we first started, but we’re still here doing the same thing. We don’t do a lot of fancy arrangements; we mostly stick to the traditional stuff people want for their homes or for local ceremonies. It’s dusty work sometimes, and our hands are usually stained from the flower juices and the dirt. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know us from the neighborhood and word of mouth. We sit on our stools and work through the piles of flowers until they’re all gone. It's a simple life, honestly. We like being in this part of town because the people are friendly and they know what they want. We just try to provide what’s needed and keep the shop running day to day. If the bins are empty, we know we’ve had a good day. It’s just how things go here at the chambers.
