H K S Flower Stall

You can find our stall at 121, right near K C General Hospital in Malleshwaram. Being so close to the hospital means we see a lot of different people every day. Some are happy because a baby was born, and others are going through some tough times. We try to have a good variety of flowers for whatever the reason is. We’ve been on 9th Main for a long time, and the area has changed so much around us, but we’re still here in the same spot. The stall is just a basic structure, really. We have some wooden planks to hold the buckets and a small stool where I sit and string the garlands. My fingers are always a bit green from the flower stems. The traffic on this road never seems to stop, and the noise from the buses is something you just get used to after a week. We don't have a fridge to keep things cold, so we rely on getting fresh stock every single morning. If we run out of something by the afternoon, that is just it for the day. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Malleshwaram. We just want to provide what the locals need. It’s hard work standing all day, but it’s a good way to stay connected to the community. Most of our regular customers stop by just to say hello while they’re doing their shopping. It's a nice place to work.
