Gupta Flowers

You can find Gupta Flowers at G/4 Sivasundram Apartment over in Basavanagudi. It’s a small space tucked into the building, and we’ve been operating out of here for a good bit of time. Basavanagudi has a specific feel to it, very traditional and busy, especially during the festival seasons. Our little shop is usually packed with buckets and the floor is almost always a bit damp from the water we use for the plants. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the regulars by name. People stop by on their way to the temple or while they are out doing their morning shopping. We keep a variety of local flowers, whatever is in season and looks okay at the market that morning. It’s not always easy keeping things fresh in the heat, but we do our best with what we have. Some days are slow and we just sit and string jasmine, while other days everyone seems to want something at the exact same time. We don’t go for anything too complicated. It’s mostly just loose flowers and simple arrangements. The apartment residents are used to us being here, and we like the community. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to scramble to get things sorted before the morning rush starts. It’s just a regular life here, dealing with nature and neighbors in this part of town, and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It’s just us working.
