Flower Paradise

Our shop is at 46/1 in the Dwaraka Building. We are right next to the HDFC ATM in Frazer Town. It’s actually a very convenient spot because people are always coming to get cash. They look over and see what we have. Sahara Darwaja and Umarwada are just around the corner, so it stays busy. The building is a bit old, but it works for us. We have buckets of flowers sitting out on the floor. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a big shipment. We spend a lot of time just trimming leaves and making sure the water in the buckets is fresh. Frazer Town is a lively place with a lot of food stalls, so the evening time is especially crowded. We hear the noise from the street all day long. It’s never really quiet here. We don’t have any fancy displays or cooling units. We just try to sell what we have before it starts to wilt. It’s a very manual process. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us in the shop, dealing with customers as they come in. Some people want one rose, others want a whole bunch. We treat them all the same. It’s just a small business trying to keep going in a busy part of Bangalore. We stay open pretty late to catch the office crowd coming home.
