Blooming Florist

Being at 32 Malleshwaram New Veg Market is a busy way to live. We are on 13th Cross, and if you come by Blooming Florist early in the morning, you will see us dealing with crates of flowers arriving from the wholesale market. The floor is almost always a bit damp because we are constantly watering the plants and trimming stems. It smells nice, mostly, though by the end of a long day the scent of roses and lilies gets a bit heavy. We have been here for a good amount of time now and we know most of the people who walk past our shop every day. It is a small space, so we have to be careful not to trip over the buckets of carnations. We don't have a fancy display window like the shops in the malls; we just put the freshest stuff out front where people can see it. Sometimes a stray cow wanders near the market gate and we have to keep an eye on the greens. It is a simple life, cutting flowers and tying bouquets. We don't use any fancy software to keep track of things, just a notebook and a pen. When the festival season starts, it gets really hectic and we are on our feet until late at night. But that is just how a florist shop in a market works.
