Shri Hampamma Vijayanagar Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located right near the Anganawadi Centre No.1 on Guledal Road. The place is called Hampapatna. Our group is the Shri Hampamma Vijayanagar Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a long name for a group of simple farmers. We chose it to honor the local history. We spend our days out in the heat mostly. The road to Guledal is where we see most of the activity. Our office is just a small room where we try to stay organized. It’s not always tidy because we have a lot of things going on. We started this because we realized that staying separate wasn't helping anyone. Now we talk more and share the work when we can. Hampapatna is a good community. We know who is planting what and when the tractors are moving. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. Just us and the people who live next door. Sometimes we have meetings and it gets a bit loud when everyone has an opinion. But that’s how we make decisions. We’re just trying to get through the year without too many problems. The soil is dry sometimes, and we have to be careful with the water. It’s a basic life, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to farm a bit better together. We hope to keep this going for a long time for our kids. It's about making sure the village stays healthy and everyone has what they need.
