Annabrahma Farmers Producer Company Limited is set up in Billenkote Village, right on the ground floor of building number 22. Being in Nelamangala Taluk means we are close enough to the main routes but still very much in the middle of the farming life we know. The ground floor spot makes it easy for farmers to just walk in and talk to us without any fuss or having to climb stairs. We don't have any formal receptionists or anything, usually just whoever is around will say hello and offer a seat. The place is often a bit messy with paperwork and maybe some mud tracked in from the boots, but that’s just how it is here. We spend a lot of time discussing things like crop cycles and where to get the best supplies for the next planting. It isn't a high-pressure environment; we just take things as they come and try to help each other out. The goal is just to keep everyone’s head above water when things get tough. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. Sometimes we just sit and drink tea and talk about the weather or the local news before getting down to any real business. It feels more like a community center than a company most of the time. We are just trying to do right by the folks in our village.
