Our setup is a bit different because we are based in Cottage-803 at the House of Hiranandani in Prasannahalli. That’s out in the Devanahalli area, on the rural side of Bangalore. It’s a nice enough place, though a bit quiet compared to the main city. We started this because we were interested in food and how it’s handled before it reaches people's kitchens. Since we are out here in Devanahalli, we are close to a lot of the farms but also not too far from the city markets. It’s just a small team of us working from this location. We aren't some big factory; it's more of a personal operation where we keep a close eye on everything. We spend a lot of our time talking to suppliers and checking on the quality of the products we deal with. Sometimes it feels like we are constantly on the move between the village areas and the town. We don't really do big advertising or anything like that. Most of our work comes through people we know or locals who hear about us. It’s a practical way to work, and being in a cottage instead of a big office block makes the whole thing feel a lot more manageable. We just want to do a decent job and make sure the food we handle is treated right. It's busy work but we like it, and being near the airport helps with logistics sometimes.
