You can find us at H .No. 36 in Vihamandava, which is part of the Paithan area. Balkhandeshwar Agro Producer Company Limited is just a small group of local farmers. We aren't doing anything flashy. Most of our days are spent in the fields, making sure the crops are growing like they should. In this part of the country, everything depends on the weather and the water. We started this company because it was getting too difficult to handle the business side of farming alone. When you are just one person, the big buyers don't always give you a fair shake. By coming together at house number 36, we can act as one group. It makes things a bit simpler, though farming is never truly simple. There are always pests to deal with or a pump that stops working right when you need it most. We don't have any professional writers or office staff. It’s just us. We keep our own books and talk about the prices over tea. Sometimes we help each other with the planting or the harvest when someone falls behind. It's a community effort more than anything else. We’ve lived in Vihamandava all our lives and we know every acre of this land. We just want to keep doing what we’ve always done, but with a bit more organization so we don't get left behind by the bigger markets. It is about staying afloat.
