Over in Shivrai, in the Vaijapur area of Aurangabad, is where Dikepatil Agrotech Farmers Producer Company Limited operates. It is a small community where most of us have known each other since we were children playing in the dirt. We decided to put the word "Agrotech" in our name because we are trying to use some better tools and methods we heard about, but at the end of the day, we are still just farmers with dirt under our fingernails. Our office is right there in Shivrai, and it is a very simple and basic place. We don't have fancy brochures or a website that looks like it belongs to a big company. We just have our land and our crops to show for our work. The weather in Aurangabad can be very unpredictable, so we try to help each other out when one person's crop is doing better than another's. We handle the basics like getting the right fertilizers and making sure the harvest gets to the market on time. It is a lot of physical work and the paperwork for the company is often a big headache for us, but we know it is necessary to keep things legal and organized.
