Precise Engineers

Our shop is at 705/18 in Phase-Iv of the GIDC in Vitthal. It’s right in the middle of Zone-12. Precise Engineers is basically a machine shop. We have a few lathes, some milling machines, and a lot of scrap metal in the corner. We make parts based on drawings people bring us. Sometimes the drawings are professional, and sometimes they are just scribbles on a napkin. We try to make sense of both. The name says "Precise," and we do try our best to hit the marks, but we're human. We spend a lot of time measuring things with calipers and checking our work. The floor is always a bit oily, which is pretty standard for a place like this. It’s noisy too. You have to shout a bit if the machines are running. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just walk onto the floor. Most of our guys have been with us for five or ten years. They know how the machines behave. We work mostly with local manufacturing plants that need spare parts fast. We don't do big advertising. We just wait for the phone to ring or for someone to drop by. It’s a tough business sometimes, keeping up with the power cuts and the heat in the summer, but we manage. We aren't corporate people. We’re just engineers who like fixing things and making metal bits fit together properly.
