If you come down to the Gidc Estate in Phase-IV, you’ll find us at I/71 in the Binish Steel Compound. It’s a heavy industrial zone, so don't expect it to be quiet or clean. Bhagwati Engineering Co. is right in the thick of it. The sound of metal hitting metal is pretty much the background music for our whole day. We have a big open space where all the machines are kept. It gets pretty oily and dusty, but that’s engineering for you. The compound is shared with a few other businesses, so there’s always someone moving crates or loading a truck. Our office is just a small room partitioned off from the main workshop. It’s got a couple of old desks and a calendar on the wall. We mostly deal with local clients who need parts made or fixed. People just walk in through the big shutter doors and find us. We don't do much in the way of marketing or fancy brochures. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. The guys on the floor have been doing this for a long time and they know the machines inside out. We have tea breaks twice a day where everyone sits around on whatever stools are available. It’s a basic setup, but it’s been working for us. We just keep building things and fixing what’s broken in this corner of the estate.
