Verma Foods

Verma Foods is located over at the Shiv Shakti Motor Market in Amritsar. We are right on the G.T. Road, specifically Nh-15 in the Jhako-Lahri area. If you’re coming through the toll plaza, we aren't too far from there. Being in a motor market means there are always mechanics and drivers around. We deal with food products, mostly things that people can take with them or use in their small kitchens at home. It’s a busy spot with lots of vehicles moving all the time. The noise of the highway is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We started this small because we saw a lot of travelers needing good stuff to eat. The shop isn't very large, but we try to keep the shelves stocked with whatever is in demand. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several trucks pull up at once and everyone wants something at the same time. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us working the counter and moving boxes around. The heat in the summer can be tough since we are so close to the road, but we keep the fans going. It’s a straightforward business. We buy things, we sell things, and we talk to the people who stop by. Most of our customers are just passing through or working in the nearby garages. We’re just a regular part of the roadside landscape here near the toll.
