Deepankar Food Hut

Our food hut is on Sher Shah Suri Road in Amritsar, specifically at Khandwala Chowk. We are right near Guru Nanak School and directly opposite Vijay Book Depot. It’s a lively spot because of the school and the bookshop, so there’s always kids or parents hanging around. The hut is a small building, nothing too big. We’ve been here serving the Khandwala area for a good bit now. Most days are pretty similar, preparing food for the afternoon rush when school lets out. It’s not a place where you’d go for a formal dinner; it’s more for a quick, filling snack or a meal when you’re on the move. We have a few benches outside where people sit and eat. The traffic on Sher Shah Suri Road can be a bit much, but it brings people to our door. We don't have a fancy menu printed on thick paper, just a board with what we're making that day. The food is simple, the kind of stuff we eat at home. We know a lot of our customers by name because they come by every day. It's a modest operation, just a few of us in the back cooking and one person out front taking the money and handing out the food. If you're heading past the school, stop by and see us. We usually close up once the food runs out in the evening. It’s just a humble little hut on the corner.
