New Brijwasi Chat

New Brijwasi Chat is located at SCO 12 in the C Block of Ranjit Avenue in Amritsar. We are near the Eldorado Restaurant. Amritsar is famous for its food, so there are many places to eat around here. We just try to do our own thing in our little corner. We have a counter where we prepare everything right in front of you. You can see the big bowls of yogurt and the different chutneys we make every day. It is a noisy spot because of the traffic on the avenue and the people talking while they wait. We don't have much indoor seating, so most people just stand around the tables outside or take their food to their cars. It is the kind of place where you come for a quick snack in the evening. We use a lot of local spices and my hands are usually covered in flour and spices by the time we close. We don't have any fancy awards on the walls. We just have our regular customers who come back every week. Sometimes we run out of things early if it is a busy Sunday. There are only a few of us working here, so we stay busy from the moment we open the shutters. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s part of the fun of eating chat on the street.
