Masala Art

We are located on Majitha Road in Amritsar, right by Tunga Wali Puli. If you know where Secret Heart School is, then you've probably passed Masala Art a dozen times. This part of town is always moving. We decided to set up here because it felt right. The kitchen is the heart of everything we do. We use a lot of local ingredients because that’s what is available at the market nearby. It’s not a huge place, but we make it work. Most days it’s just the sound of chopping and the stove hissing. We get students, parents, and people just passing through Tunga Wali Puli. The floor gets a bit scuffed up and we’re always wiping down the counters. It’s honest work. We don't spend money on fancy signs or anything. The food is the main thing. If people like it, they come back. That’s how it’s been since we opened. Sometimes the traffic on Majitha Road is a nightmare, but inside it’s just the smell of onions frying. We stay open late most nights because that's when people are hungry. It’s a simple life running a restaurant in Amritsar. We just keep our heads down and keep the orders going out. There is always something to do, whether it is scrubbing the floors or checking the spice jars. We just try to do a good job for the neighborhood and keep our regular customers happy.
