Amritsar Haveli Cuisines Private Limited

We are located at 312 East Mohan Nagar in Amritsar. The building is not much to look at from the street, but it is where all the work happens. Amritsar gets incredibly hot in the summer months, so our kitchen feels like an oven most of the day. We have the tandoors going early to get the heat right for the bread. It is a lot of physical work, kneading dough and tending to the fires. We do not have any fancy decorations on the walls or expensive furniture. It is just sturdy tables and chairs for people to sit and eat. We focus on the food we know, the stuff we have been eating since we were kids. There is always a lot of noise from the dishes clattering and the staff shouting orders back and forth. We buy our vegetables from the local market every morning before the sun gets too high. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the market did not have what we needed. We do not worry too much about looking polished or professional in a corporate way. We just want the food to be hot and the plates to be full. The floor is made of old stone that stays relatively cool, and we spend a lot of time scrubbing it down after the lunch rush is over. It is just a busy kitchen in a busy city.
