Mewar Garden Restaurant

Our restaurant is located out on the NH-8 near Gagwana. We are close to the Country Inn hotel and just a short distance from the Balaji Temple. Being on the highway means we get a lot of truck drivers and families who are traveling between Ajmer and Jaipur. The garden part of the restaurant is nice because it gives people a bit of a break from being stuck in a car all day. We have some outdoor seating where you can see the hills in the distance. It’s not a five-star place, just a highway stop where the food is hot and the tea is strong. We keep the place open late because the highway never really sleeps. Sometimes it gets a bit lonely out here when there isn't much traffic, but then a whole busload of people will pull in at once. We don't have a big fancy kitchen, but we keep it busy. The staff is mostly local guys from Gagwana who walk over to work. We don't have any big missions or goals, we just want to make sure the food tastes good and the travelers can rest their legs for a bit. It’s a simple business and we like being out here away from the main city noise of Ajmer. If you are driving by the temple, you can stop in for some chai.
